Summary
Nail polish (also known as nail varnish or nail enamel) is a lacquer that can be applied to the human fingernail or toenails to decorate and protect the nail plates. Nail polish consists of a film-forming polymer dissolved in a volatile organic solvent. Typical is a solution of nitrocellulose in butyl acetate or ethyl acetate is common.
To maximize efficiency and productivity in your cosmetics production line, consider installing a system of nail polish filling machinery form VKPAK in your facility. We offer a variety of liquid filling machines that can meet the requirements of facility space restrictions, with a selection of cappers, conveyors, and labeling machines also available. A custom combination of machines can make your facility less vulnerable to breakdowns and increase productivity.

Bottle Size
The first factor to consider when it comes to nail polish bottles is the actual size of the bottle. Full sized bottles typically hold 0.5 oz (15ml) of nail polish. A full size bottle also allows for a full size brush and a cap that is easy to hold while using the brush. Mini bottles are typically half the size of their full sized predecessor.
Bottle Shape
Next up is the shape of the body of the bottle. Round and square bottles are most common, however some brands have made the choice to use novelty shapes (think heart and flowers) to market their polishes. The shape of the bottle does not impact the ability to use the polish.
Bottle Caps & Brush
The cap becomes the handle used to apply the polish, meaning that it needs to be easy to hold and should be comfortable to hold while applying the product. The brushes attached to the bottle will need to be considered. These are also extremely important as they allow the user to get the task of painting the nail done.
The packaging process, on the other hand, requires consideration of how to encapsulate the cap with the brush onto the bottle, which will usually include the following steps:
- Ceramic pump piston filling: bottle transfer into the white star wheel for filling, each nozzles filling part of total volume. the filling is diving filling, and driven by servo motor(connect the ceramic pump and your storage tank directly with a tube)
- Pick and place with brush inserting system: brushes are fed by the vibration hopper to the stoppering station, then automatically pick the brushes and insert it into the bottle.
- Pick and place with pre capping system: caps are fed by vibration hopper to the stoppering station, then automatically pick the caps and put on top of bottle then pre capping.
- Capping: the capping is driven by servo motor and torque is adjustable, no break the cap with reasonable torgue
- Bottles out: automatically transfer by the conveyor system to the labeling machine after capping.
Balls & Glitter
In addition, some nail polish packages contain balls and glitter, so we need to add stations on the monoblock filling and capping machine to complete the package.
Since the bottles of nail polish are small in capacity, they are usually packaged with an monoblock filling and capping machine for nail polish.
Our machines are the most practical and flexible solution to package small doses of nail polish and other products specifically produced for nails. Our machines are known for their simplicity, speed of use, and are easy to clean. But above all, our machines are resistant and made of high quality materials in order to fill nail polish or any other kind of nail product. The dosing machine is designed to be incredibly accurate and does not waste product.
Viscous or semi-viscous, without or with glitter, nail polish comes in a wide variety of textures and an infinitely variable color range.
Varnish with glitter, being the most delicate texture to process, requires filling without damaging the glitter particles as well as an even distribution of glitter in all bottles. The nail polish filling machine meets these requirements thanks to a special filling circuit also designed to optimize cleaning. This filling circuit can handle all types of glitter.
Following the liquid filling & capping process, other types of equipment can maintain efficiency of the packaging process all the way through to completion. Labelers can apply high-quality labels with custom graphic and text, and conveyors can transfer products at varying speeds between stations.
